International Day of Peace with Humanita
Dr. Aphinita Chaichana President of United Nations Peacekeepers Federation Council (UNPKFC) and Mr. Sornpong Suwanprung (Big Mok), consultant of Economy Inspector, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office, and the consultant of the Management Board of UNPKFC together with the managers and volunteers donated several fresh food and dried food to relieve the problems of the people who received damages due to the flood during the situation of Covid-19. Several villages and roads in Samut Prakan were highly flooded, especially the industrial areas for exportation, the flood was higher than 1 meter. The committee donated water, food, and other necessary products to the people. The places where the cars could not be used as means of transportation, boats were used. Later Mr. Sornpong Suwanprung and Venerable Monk Chatree, the abbot of Khotharam temple took the committee of UNPKFC to donate rice, dried food and other necessary products to the bedridden patient and gave their support and listened to their problems.
Dr. Aphinita Chaichana said, as she received the news of the people’s problems in Bang Poo area, she coordinated with Mr. Sornpong Suwanprung or Big Mok, Samut Prakan. We have coordinated together several times. The United Nations Peacekeepers Federation Council therefore is helping the area and is glad that they could relive the problems of the people. 21 September of each year is an International Peace Day. All the organizations and departments all over the world arrange to perform good activities to understand the importance of stopping violence and creating peace all over the world. In order to have a Peace Day that we are experiencing today, we went through lots of violence and many people had died. Therefore, today is one of the important days.
UNPFKC has continuously arranged activities as the Covid situation in Thailand has affected everyone. Everyone is equally fighting against the virus as if there is a war. But the difficult part is fighting against the virus which is invisible. It is requested that everyone maintain their mental health, have conscious and do no lose hope. The United Nations Peacekeepers Federation Council and the partner of the platform (SDGs) who is supporting to sustainably develop it under the frame of United Nation, we maintain to continue helping others continuously. We have relations with personnel who work for humanitarian actions and support UNPKFC including the government and private sector. Mr. Sornpong Suwanprung (Big Mok), consultant of Economy Inspector, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office, and the consultant of the Management Board of UNPKFC claimed that as the consultant of the inspector and the area is under their responsibility, he never refrained from taking actions after seeing the problems of the people in Samut Prakan, no matter if it was fire or flood. These incidents during the period of Covid is like “When it rains, it pours”. As I am one of the responsible people of this area, I would like to thank the United Nations Peace Keepers Federal Council and Team and valuable Monk Chatree, the abbot of Khotharam temple including other interested persons who gave their support to help reduce the trouble of the people. I am glad to see the thoughtfulness of the Thai people. We will continue to help others until the situation gets better.
