The World Environment Day 2021

The United Nations has designated June 5 to be celebrated as World Environment Day to highlight the significance of its protection.The General Assembly in 1972, following the first major conference based on environmental issues, called the Conference on the Human Environment or the Stockholm Conference, adopted resolution (A/RES/2994 (XXVII) to mark June 5 as the World Environment Day.

The resolution was adopted urging the “Governments and the organizations in the United Nations system to undertake on that day every year world-wide activities reaffirming their concern for the preservation and enhancement of the environment, with a view to deepening environmental awareness.”The theme of World Environment Day 2021 is ‘Reimagine. Recreate. Restore.’ as this year marks the beginning of the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration and aligned with this year’s commemoration of World Environment Day,

the United Nations Peace Keepers Federal Council (UNPKFC) organized the planting of 910 plants at 199, Moo 8, Klong 10, Road 14, Nong Chok district, Bangkok, Thailand. “The 910 plants that we planted on this day is just a token to pay tribute to our beloved King Bhumibol,

the ninth monarch of Thailand (Rama IX) and the current King Vajiralongkorn, the tenth monarch of Thailand (Rama X). As part of our reforestation plan for a sustainable ecological environment we have our goal to eventually expand what we had just started in and for the coming days and years to come, according to Dr. Aphinita Chaichana, President of United Nations Peace Keeper Federal Council (UNPKFC).Today’s program is part of the Organization’s objectives in implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals SDG 12 (responsible consumption and production), SDG 13 (climate action), SDG 14 (life below water) and SDG 15 (life on land).Supporting and participating in this activities are Dr. Aphinita Chaichana as President of UNPKFC, Mr.Namlap Baosuwan Chairman of the Priminister ‘s Advisory Board, Mr.Pirapan Sareeattanavibhak Chairman of the Auditing and Monitoring Committee of the Mueang Kanchanaburi District Police Station,Mr.Sornpongsak Suwanaprungsak Suwannaprung Consultant Inspector office of the Premanent Secreatry Prime Minister office , Asst.Prof.Dr. Saruttaya Sunathvanichkul, Mr. Somsak Sunathvanichkul Advisory Board of UNPKFC, Prof.Dr.Sharin Kaniyao,Dr.Pongsaran Sunsuwansri President​ of​ Green​ Country​ Foundation, Mr.Wuttiphat Khamprakop District Director of Nongjok Province, Mr.Siriphong Rassamee member of the House of Respresentatives.According to Dr. Aphinita Chaichana, President of UNPKFC, this year’s Day of World Environment is part of the initiative, regarding the UNPKFC’s partnership with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, to encourage and raise global awareness, to take positive environmental action to protect nature and the planet earth. It is a day that reminds everyone on the planet to get involved in environment friendly activities. From school children to community groups, companies and governments, all come together to pledge towards building a greener planet.​
