UNPKFC arranged a special event to celebrate the International Woman’s Day 2023
On March 8th, 2023, United Peace Keepers Federal Council (UNPKFC) arranged a special event to celebrate the International Women’s Day 2023, at Boriphat Room, Royal Thai Air Force Club, Commissioned Class, Phaholyothin Rd., Donmuang, Bangkok, Thailand, to eulogize the achievements of women worldwide in various fields, i.e. culture, politics, economics, and society at large, without any barrier from races, religions, or professions. This special day is the day to express the collaboration in the journey towards gender equity, which leads to social equality, as appears in the sustainable development goal no. 5 (SDG5) of the United Nations.
International Women’s Day (IWD) takes place on March 8th of every year. And the origins of this call to action run deep and radical. It began as National Women’s Day in the United States back in February 1909, with the focus on women’s rights based on the urban legend commemorating a protest by women garment workers in New York City. At the second International Conference of Working Women in Copenhagen, Denmark, an International Women’s Day was proposed to give women a greater voice to further their demands for equal rights. After the unanimous approval, International Women’s Day was officially marked for the first time in March 1911, and the date was finally fixed as March 8th of 1913. The United Nations celebrated it for the first time in 1975, and in 1996 it announced its first annual theme: “Celebrating the past, planning for the Future”, and the global campaign theme for this year of 2023, is “Embrace Equity”.
We can all challenge gender stereotypes, call out discrimination, draw attention to bias, and seek out inclusion. Collective activism is what drives change. From grassroots action to wide-scale momentum, we can all embrace equity. And forging gender equity isn’t limited to women solely to fight the good fight. All human beings, of all genders and ages, are incredibly important for the social, economic, cultural, and political advancements of women. We all must hold on together for the positive change of this world, in which every person has equal rights. And that can be started from embracing equity through deeply believing, valuing, and seeking out difference as a necessary and positive element of life. It can be briefly said that equality is the goal, and equity is the means to get there. Through the process of equity, we can finally reach equality.
Due to the importance of International Women’s Day as such, UNPKFC, led by Dr. Aphinita Chaichana, the global president of UNPKFC, the vice president of Southeast Asia Himalayan Space Center (HSC), and a special advisor of United Nations Economic and Social Council (United Nations ECOSOC) Rep. 45518, arranged this special event, along with the collaboration and support from World Peace international network, both governmental and private sectors, organizations and working allies, arranged this special event, in which Dr. Aphinita Chaichana, the global president, delivered a congratulations speech to those receiving the International Women’s Leadership Awards 2023 and the Humanitarian Leadership Awards 2023.
The event was well participated by many famous people from different fields, for instance, representatives from the largest peacekeeping center of Asia, located in Indonesia, UN peacekeepers who were from the police corps and the military, from Thailand and other countries, the Female Religion Association, etc. In this event, Assoc. Prof. Sutisa Rattanawiccha, PhD Commissioner of MEC monitoring and Evaluation Commission, delivered an opening address. H.E. Lupe Ayllon Ruiz, attorney specialist in Human Rights from United Nations Development Program (UNDP-N 15132-RSC), and H.E. Patimoh Sadiyamu, the provincial governor of Pattani Province and the first female Muslim governor of Thailand, also passed words of congratulations to all awardees. Moreover, an honorable guest from the Prime Minister Operation Center, prestigious leaders of various levels from different career fields and different countries, famous people from the political field-both in domestic and international levels, influencers, and social activists, were also delightfully gathered to celebrate this event of International Women’s Day to help one another to create the path leading to the society of equality.
UNPKFC จัดงานเฉลิมฉลองเนื่องในวันสตรีสากล ประจำปี 2566 (2023)

สภาสหพันธ์รักษาสันติภาพ (United Peace Keepers Federal Council) หรือ UNPKFC ได้จัดงานเฉลิมฉลองเนื่องในโอกาสวันสตรีสากลประจำปี พ.ศ. 2566 (ค.ศ. 2023) ขึ้นที่ห้องบริพัตร สโมสรทหารอากาศชั้นสัญญาบัตร ถ.พหลโยธิน เขตดอนเมือง กรุงเทพมหานคร เพื่อฉลองความสำเร็จในด้านต่าง ๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นด้านวัฒนธรรม การเมือง เศรษฐกิจ และสังคม ของเหล่าสตรีจากทั่วโลก โดยไม่จำกัดเชื้อชาติ ศาสนา หรืออาชีพ และเป็นวันที่แสดงออกซื่งความร่วมมือกันเพื่อเดินทางไปสู่ความเสมอภาคทางเพศอันเป็นการแสดงให้เห็นถึงความเท่าเทียมกันในสังคม ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนข้อ 5 ขององค์การสหประชาชาติ
วันสตรีสากลนั้นมีการฉลองในวันที่ 8 มีนาคมของทุกปี โดยมีต้นกำเนิดมาจากวันสตรีแห่งชาติในสหรัฐอเมริกาในเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ของปี ค.ศ. 1909 เพื่อรำลึกถึงการประท้วงของคนงานหญิงในอุตสาหกรรมผ้าและเครื่องแต่งกายในมหานครนิวยอร์ค ในงานประชุมนานาชาติครั้งที่สองของสตรีที่มีบทบาทในสังคม ณ กรุงโคเปนเฮเกน ประเทศเดนมาร์ก ได้มีการเสนอให้มีการจัดวันสตรีสากลเพื่อให้เสียงของผู้หญิงมีความทรงพลังมากขึ้นในการเรียกร้องสิทธิเท่าเทียมทางเพศ หลังจากผ่านการลงมติอย่างเป็นเอกฉันท์ ในที่สุดก็มีการกำหนดวันสตรีสากลขึ้นเป็นครั้งแรกในเดือนมีนาคม ค.ศ. 1911 และได้มีการกำหนดวันอย่างเป็นทางการให้เป็นวันที่ 8 มีนาคม ค.ศ. 1913 และในปี ค.ศ. 1975 องค์การสหประชาชาติได้มีการฉลองวันสตรีสากลเป็นครั้งแรก และมีการประกาศธีมประจำปีเป็นครั้งแรกในปี ค.ศ. 1996 ภายใต้หัวข้อ “ร่วมเฉลิมฉลองวันวาน เพื่อก้าวสู่อนาคต” และในปี 2023 นี้แคมเปญจ์ประจำปีที่มีการกำหนดไว้ทั่วโลกคือ การโอบรับความเสมอภาคอย่างเท่าเทียม
เราทุกคนไม่ว่าจะเป็นเพศใดสามารถท้าทายทัศนคติเหมารวมทางเพศ ต่อต้านการเลือกปฏิบัติ เพิกเฉยต่อการมีอคติต่อกัน และไม่แบ่งแยกกันได้ การเคลื่อนไหวร่วมกันเป็นสิ่งที่ขับเคลื่อนการเปลี่ยนแปลง ตั้งแต่การดำเนินการระดับรากหญ้าไปจนถึงแรงผลักดันในวงกว้าง เราทุกคนโอบรับความเสมอภาคนั้นได้ ไม่เพียงแต่สตรีเท่านั้น แต่เราทุกคน ทุกเพศ ทุกวัย ร่วมกันต่อสู้เพื่อก้าวไปสู่ความเท่าเทียมกันทั้งด้านสังคม เศรษฐกิจ วัฒนธรรมและการเมืองได้ เราต้องจับมือกันเปลี่ยนแปลงให้โลกใบนี้เป็นโลกที่ดีขึ้น ที่ทุกคนมีสิทธิเสรีภาพเท่าเทียมกันต่อไป เริ่มจากการโอบรับความเสมอภาคอย่างเท่าเทียม โดยการคิด ให้คุณค่าและน้อมรับความแตกต่างว่าเป็นองค์ประกอบด้านบวกของชีวิตและมีความสำคัญด้วยหัวใจของเราทุกคน
กล่าวคือ ความเท่าเทียมคือเป้าหมาย และความเสมอภาคคือหนทางไปสู่เป้าหมาย เราสามารถบรรลุความเท่าเทียมกันได้โดยผ่านกระบวนการของความเสมอภาคนั่นเอง
เนื่องด้วยการให้ความสำคัญแก่วันสตรีสากลดังกล่าวนี้เอง UNPKFC จึงได้จัดงานครั้งนี้ขึ้น นำโดย ดร. อภินิตา ไชยชนะ ประธานองค์กรสภาสหพันธ์รักษาสันติภาพ (UNPKFC), รองประธานศูนย์อวกาศหิมาลายันแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (HSC), และอยู่ในสถานะที่ปรึกษาพิเศษของคณะมนตรีเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งสหประชาชาติ (United Nations ECOSOC Rep. 45518) พร้อมด้วยพันธมิตรในระดับนานาชาติที่ร่วมกันส่งเสริมสันติภาพโลก โดยการสนับสนุนจากทุกภาคส่วนไม่ว่าจะเป็นหน่วยงานรัฐบาล หรือหน่วยงานเอกชน รวมทั้งองค์กรและภาคีเครือข่ายต่าง ๆ โดย ดร.อภินิตา ไชยชนะ ประธานองค์กร ได้กล่าวแสดงความยินดีกับผู้ได้รับรางวัล International Women’s Leadership Awards 2023 และ Humanitarian Leadership Awards 2023 ทุกคน
ในงานนี้มีบุคคลสำคัญที่มีชื่อเสียงในแต่ละด้านมาร่วมงาน และแสดงความยินดีกับผู้ได้รับรางวัลมากมาย เช่นผู้แทนจากศูนย์ปฏิบัติรักษาสันติภาพที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในเอเชียจากประเทศอินโดนีเซีย ผู้รักษาสันติภาพขององค์การสหประชาชาติอันเป็นข้าราชการทั้งทหารตำรวจจากประเทศไทยและนานาประเทศที่ปฏิบัติการรักษาสันติภาพในสถานที่ต่าง ๆ ศาสนสัมพันธ์สตรี และอื่น ๆ โดยในงานนี้ ผศ. ดร. สุทิศา รัตนวิชา กรรมการติดตามและประเมินผลการปฏิบัติงานด้านกิจการโทรคมนาคม มาร่วมกล่าวเปิดงาน โดยมีคุณ Lupe Ayllon Ruiz อัยการชำนาญการในโครงการพัฒนาด้านสิทธิมนุษยชนแห่งสหประชาชาติ และ คุณพาติเมาะห์ สะดียามู ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดปัตตานีซึ่งเป็นผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดชาวมุสลิมหญิงคนแรกของประเทศไทยได้ส่งคำปราศรัยพิเศษมาแสดงความยินดีในการเฉลิมฉลองครั้งนี้ด้วย นอกจากนี้ ยังรวมไปถึงแขกผู้มีเกียรติจากสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรี ผู้นำดีเด่นในระดับต่าง ๆ หลากหลายสาขาอาชีพจากนานาประเทศ ผู้มีชื่อเสียงและบทบาททางการเมืองทั้งในระดับระหว่างประเทศและภายในประเทศ ผู้มีบทบาทในการเป็นผู้นำทางความคิด Influencer และบุคคลสำคัญหลายท่านที่มีการเคลื่อนไหวทางสังคมอย่างสม่ำเสมอ ได้มาเฉลิมฉลองในงานวันสตรีสากลครั้งนี้ร่วมกันด้วยความปีติยินดีเพื่อจะสร้างสังคมที่ทุกคนมีความเท่าเทียมกันต่อไป
