World Water Day celebrates water and raises awareness about the 2.2 billion people still lacking access to clean water. It calls for global cooperation to address the water crisis. The main goal of World Water Day is to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 6: water and sanitation for all by 2030.
The United Peace Keepers Federal Council (UNPKFC), in collaboration with the United Nations Association of Coachella Valley, California Chapter, USA (UNA-USA), has recognized the urgent need for action by establishing the Clean Water For All initiative. This program provides clean drinking water donations for those affected by disasters, peacekeepers, and emergency situations. The aim is to ensure that communities without access to water and sanitation can obtain clean drinking water, with no sales involved. All water will be donated free of charge to those in need in disaster-stricken areas, such as those affected by natural disasters or crisis situations.
This program reflects the mission of UNPKFC in supporting access to clean water in line with Sustainable Development Goal 6 (water and sanitation for all) and Goal 3 (good health and well-being). The focus is on ensuring everyone has access to safe and quality drinking water during times of crisis, providing humanitarian assistance, and leaving no one behind.
This initiative helps strengthen the resilience of affected communities and emphasizes the urgent need to support those in difficult circumstances.
Every year, UN-Water, the UN’s coordination mechanism for water and sanitation, sets the theme for World Water Day. In 2023, the theme was “Accelerating Change.” In 2024, the theme will focus on “Leveraging Water for Peace,” and in 2025, the theme will center on “Glacier Preservation.”

World Water Day 2025 will focus on glacier preservation, highlighting the need for global action to manage meltwater sustainably and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, ensuring vital water resources for the future.
