Bangkok – 29 March 2026 – The United Peace Keepers Federal Council (UNPKFC) hosted a grand celebration of International Women’s Day 2026 under the theme “Women Leading Peace, Inspiring Global Change.” The event aimed to promote the role of women as leaders of transformation and as a vital force in building sustainable peace worldwide.
The gathering brought together distinguished international women leaders, representatives from global organizations, academics, and networks from various countries at the Teachers’ Council Auditorium, Ministry of Education, Thailand.

The success of the event was made possible through strong collaboration among both domestic and international partners, including:

In addition, the event was supported by government agencies, private sector partners, international networks, and volunteers from all sectors.
The ceremony commenced with a solemn tribute in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. Attendees observed a one-minute moment of silence, followed by the Thai national anthem and the Royal Anthem.
Thai Arts, Culture, and Youth Empowerment
Cultural highlights included traditional Thai performances such as Khon (classical masked dance drama) and the Kinnaree Dance, performed by youth from Natyapat Thai Dance School. These performances not only captivated the audience but also provided opportunities for vulnerable youth to showcase their talents on an international stage.
Distinguished Women Leaders and Key Figures
The opening ceremony was presided over by Dr. Aphinita Chaichana, Global President of UNPKFC, Global Chairperson for Southeast Asia of the United Nations Association of Coachella Valley California Chapter U.S.A (UNA-USA), Honorary Member of the Royal Society of St. George, and President of World Book of Records London (Thailand Chapter), who also served as the Chair of International Women’s Day 2026.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Aphinita emphasized the importance of gender equality, women’s empowerment, and international cooperation in advancing a sustainable society.
The event was further honored by H.E. Mr. Faiyaz Murshid Kazi, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Thailand and Permanent Representative to UNESCAP, who served as Chief Guest and Keynote Address. His address highlighted the crucial role of women in advancing peace, equality, and sustainable development, as well as strengthening regional and international cooperation.
Panel Discussion and Special Address
The event featured a panel discussion titled “Meaningful Beauty,” bringing together a new generation of women leaders, including Miss Thailand 2026 and Miss Global Thailand 2026, who shared insightful perspectives on the role of women as powerful drivers of change and influential voices in today’s society.
Another highlight of the program was an inspiring address by Ms. Jiraphorn Saladang (Mymint), Miss Thailand 2026, on “Meaningful Beauty: The Power of Women as Voices of Change in Modern Society.” Her remarks conveyed a compelling vision and left a profound and lasting impression on the audience.
A special lecture was delivered by Dr. Antika Preeyanon from UN ESCAP on “The Role of Women in Strengthening Cooperation for Sustainable Development.” She emphasized that women are central to peacebuilding, international collaboration, and reducing inequalities at both local and global levels.
Candlelight Ceremony for Peace
A symbolic candlelight ceremony for peace and women’s empowerment was held, during which participants lit candles and joined in singing “We Are The World” and “Heal The World,” led by the UNPKFC Young Peace Ambassadors in collaboration with TPN Global.
