New Delhi, India — The delegation of the United Peace Keepers Federal Council (UNPKFC) received a warm welcome upon arrival in New Delhi by Venerable Bhikkhu Animesh, together with representatives of Sangha Charitable Trust and the organizing committee of the “Vesak Buddha Jayanti 2570 Celebration.”
The delegation was led by Dr. Aphinita Chaichana, Global President of UNPKFC, who was honorably invited as the Chief Guest and Presiding Chair for the Opening Ceremony. Accompanying the mission were Ms. Rangsima Thongpunchung, Country Director of UNPKFC Thailand and Dr. Ravuri Balaraju, Country Director of UNPKFC India.
The visit aims to strengthen interfaith harmony, international cooperation, and global peacebuilding through cultural exchange, compassion, and mutual understanding among communities and spiritual leaders from different nations.
The celebration also marks the observance of Vesak Day, internationally recognized by the United Nations as one of the most significant occasions in Buddhism, commemorating the Birth, Enlightenment, and Mahaparinirvana of Lord Buddha. Vesak serves as a universal reminder of peace, wisdom, compassion, and harmony for all humanity.
