INTRODUCTION
1. In an era marked by globalization and interconnectedness, South East Asia faces a myriad of
challenges and opportunities that demand comprehensive and strategic approaches. Economic
growth, social cohesion, sustainable development, and security from the pillars upon which
prosperous regions are built. It is within this context that this forum is convened. Asia Collective is
intended to be an annual forum focusing on the crucial aspects of regional development and security.
2. The inaugural Asia Collective’s theme is Maritime Security with emphasis on the South China
Sea. Composed of distinguished experts, thought leaders, and policy influencers, the panel will share
their valuable insights and perspectives on development and security; fostering a deeper
understanding of the interconnections between these two critical aspects and explore effective
strategies to promote progress and stability within the region.
